The corporation is governed by a board of directors who represent the coverage area. The corporation employs a general manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the station. The general manager is a non-voting member of the corporation and sits in an ex-officio capacity on all standing and ad hoc committees. This active group of volunteer leaders is the station's eyes and ears of the community and plays an integral part of the planning and implementation of many the stations’ outreach programs.

CAB is a standing committee composed of persons representative of communities served by Smoky Hills PBS. The CAB reviews the programming goals established by Smoky Hills PBS, the service provided by the station, and the significant policy decisions rendered by the station.
